CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Guidelines for Abstract Submission – YNFCON 2027

Submission Rules

All abstracts must be submitted online only through the YNFCON 2027 website. Authors must log in using their registered account to submit abstracts. Abstracts submitted by any other mode will not be accepted.

Please ensure that all abstracts are prepared in the prescribed format available on the website. Abstracts that do not comply with these guidelines may be rejected.

Please Note

Each presenting author may submit only one abstract for oral/platform presentation. A second abstract will be considered only if it is submitted under the Poster or Special Category, subject to the decision of the Scientific Committee.

General Instructions

  • All abstracts must represent original, unpublished work of the authors.
  • Every listed author must have made a significant scientific contribution to the study.
  • The work must not have been presented or published at any previous conference or scientific meeting.
  • Submission of an abstract implies the presenting author's commitment to present the paper if it is accepted.
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to assign the abstract to the most appropriate presentation category.
  • Conference registration is mandatory for all presenting authors.
  • Authors who fail to present an accepted paper without prior intimation may be debarred from presenting at future YNF conferences.
  • All expenses related to preparation, travel, registration, and presentation are the sole responsibility of the author(s).
  • Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference abstract book exactly as submitted. Authors are therefore requested to carefully proofread their submissions before final submission.

Guidelines for Award Papers

Applicants submitting for Award Paper competitions must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
  • Consultant applicants should be below 45 years of age.
  • Total post-training experience in Neurosurgery should not exceed 7 years.
  • The applicant must be an Associate or Life Member of the Neurological Society of India for at least one year.
  • The research work must have been conducted within India.
  • The presenting author must present the paper personally during the conference.
  • The paper should not have been published or presented previously.
  • A certificate from the Head of Department/Institution must confirm that the work is the personal contribution of the candidate or that the candidate performed the major part of the research.
  • All submissions will undergo peer review by independent referees.
  • Based on reviewers' recommendations, the Scientific Committee may reassign the paper to another presentation category.
  • The decision of the Scientific Committee regarding acceptance, award eligibility, and presentation category shall be final.
  • Acceptance notifications will be sent to the corresponding author via email.
